David Cheng is an Associate Professor in leadership and management at the ANU Research School of Management.

Prior to joining ANU, he worked as an Accountant and Systems Analyst helping companies improve their financial and business processes.

In his current role, Mr Cheng studies how managers and leaders can improve the performance and well-being of their people. He has particular research expertise in emotions at work which has been featured in many media outlets including the ABC, Australian Financial Review, BBC, Business Insider, Forbes, Men’s Health and Time. This research has also won a number of research awards at the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.

He is also a member of the Impact Scholar Community, an international community of impact-driven researchers who aim to take research and the researcher out of academia and into the public.
