Dr O’Grady is a Lecturer at the ANU School of Music.

Dr O’Grady is a musicologist, musician, songwriter, and producer specializing in popular music. He has a PhD in popular music recording and songwriting practice. Additionally, he has also authored numerous scholarly articles on various topics, including music technology, music production, songwriting, music and literature, music creativity, music streaming, listening practices, and the music of the Bee Gees.

Dr O’Grady is a member of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music and he currently serves as the treasurer of its ANZ branch.
