Patrick Armstrong is a graduate student at the ANU Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Mr Armstrong is currently studying supernova cosmology and uses the explosive death of stars to better understand our Universe.
He is specifically focused on finding better methods for using these exploding stars, that will allow our understanding of the universe to be more accurate than ever.
He has participated in several outreach programs including being an astronomical consultant for the Penguin Random House publication Stargazer, and assisting with 2018’s ABC Stargazing Live and the citizen science project ‘Supernova Sightings’.
