Sean O’Byrne is Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Cluster lead at the ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics.
Professor O’Byrne has worked at NASA Langley Research Centre and the University of New South Wales, Canberra before taking up his current position in 2023. His areas of expertise include hypersonics, planetary entry, laser-based gas sensing technologies for combustion and the environment and directed energy weapons.
