Tegan Clark

Ms Clark’s PhD focuses on improving the detection and monitoring of Australian dust storms using satellites. This will better inform knowledge and practices that underpin the management of dust in a disaster risk reduction and resilience context.

She is keen to communicate science research to the public in an accessible and engaging way. She is specifically interested in talking about the use of satellites to look at our environment, air pollution, dust storms and their impact on the environment and society.

Moreover, she is a passionate advocate for underrepresented groups in STEM having founded the ANU Women* in STEM Leadership Conference and becoming a board director for IncludeHer. She has a keen interest in researching equity in STEM/education and has published research on the gender representation of scientists in the Australian senior science curriculum. She has appeared on TV, radio and in newspaper interviews communicating this research.
